These fresh-salted sheep skins are sourced from ethical and sustainable small farms on Vancouver Island, BC. The sheep are harvested for meat and the hides normally go to waste.
Breeds of sheep vary from Suffolk to Romney to Churro, and many mixes in between. The wool is plush and soft and at least 2″ long.
Store your salted sheep skin in a cool, dry place until you are ready to tan. It will store for up to one year.
