Sponsorsed Tuition Spots
For Indigenous learners
Hello and welcome!
Sponsored spots are available for members of First Nation, Inuit, and Métis (Michif) communities.
As of February 1st, 2025 we are pausing discounted spots. This decision comes after deep consideration over several months. Our sponsorship program has been used by a minority of people who do not fit the guidelines. This has negatively impacted group courses and financially impacted our small business. We plan to take a break, then map out a new structure that includes honesty, accountability, and shared vision as part of the fabric.
A sponsored spot is for you if:
You have current kinship ties and/or membership in an Indigenous community in the western hemisphere
The cost of the course/program is a barrier to you
You want to learn hide tanning with us + you can commit to the full length of the course or program
A sponsored spot is not for you if:
You have way-back Indigenous ancestry and do not have current kinship ties
You are able to pay for the full cost of the course or program and/or have access to funding
You aren’t able to commit to the full length of the course or program
If you are Métis, we ask that you have membership in your local provincial society; please let us know which community you are a part of. If you are unsure, then this sponsored spot is not for you at this time. The guidelines here may be helpful. This is by the Manitoba Métis Federation.
If you choose a sponsored spot, please treat the course or program the same as you would if you had paid full price.
Please note, we do not offer refunds for course programs. If you sign up for a program at a paid tier, we do not refund the cost if you change your mind.
Thank you for joining us.
