Fern + Roe’s logo is designed by Bree from November Wild. The Fern is one of many plants that can tan hides, through its tannic acid (check out our About Hide Tanning page to read about the bark-tanning method). The Roe is an old English word for Deer, which has now come to refer to the Roe-deer who live across Eurasia and into Western Europe.
